At 13 years old, (surrounded by people into Punk Rock), I met Aud, who brought Ultrafunk and Rose Royce into my life, and it changed me forever! He then introduced me to Phil Spreadbury, and the rest is history. Listening to the legendary Robbie Vincent’s Saturday Soul Hour at age 14, into Jazz at 15, and hooked for ever.
Hooked up with Carrina many years ago, who came along for the journey – Caister, Belverdere, Frenchies, Member no 70 of the Special Branch, Do at the Zoo, Bournemouth All-dayer, Soulstice in Theale to name a few nights out.
Never DJ’d until soulstice, I’m delighted to have the opportunity to play some sounds here on the station, and the odd night out, enjoying growing old disgracefully with everyone !!! Remember, whether it’s new or old Soul and Jazz, if it’s good enough, PLAY IT !
